Your waist-to-height ratio

0.47
Healthy (0.4–0.49). No increased health risk from where fat is stored. Half your height is 85 cm.

How to measure your waist

  • Find the bottom of your ribs and the top of your hips.
  • Wrap a tape measure around your middle, halfway between them.
  • Breathe out naturally and measure. Don't pull the tape tight.
For adults with a BMI under 35. Not for pregnancy. The ratio is a screening check, not a diagnosis.
